Vetted Pro was worth it

So I signed up for the Vetted Pro subscription a few weeks ago, just to see how it was. I was a bit skeptical at first, you know, compared to other places. But honestly, it's been pretty good. I picked up a couple of kitchen remodeling leads and one for a bathroom renovation that both turned into jobs. The client management software is decent, nothing fancy but it gets the job done. It's a solid platform if you're looking to get more work without too much hassle.

Good leads, easy to use

I used their lead generation services last month. Got some solid residential construction leads. The platform was straightforward to navigate. No issues. I would use it again for sure.

Decent value on annual plan

I was looking for a new lead source and saw The Builder Market offered a discount on their annual Vetted Pro subscription. It was about 15% off, which made the yearly cost much more reasonable for my small business. I signed up and have been using it for about two months now. I've gotten a few landscaping leads and a couple for deck building. One of the deck projects already closed, so it's starting to pay for itself. The project estimation tools are basic but helpful. It feels like a pretty good deal for what I paid, especially with that annual discount. I'm keeping an eye on how many more leads convert over the year, but so far, I'm happy with the value.

Anyone know how The Builder Market stacks up against something like Thumbtack or Angi? Trying to decide which one to use for a big project.

G Greg 2 months ago
I've used both TBM and Angi. TBM felt like it had higher quality leads for me as a pro, and as a homeowner, the pros seemed more serious.

Thumbtack felt a bit more 'hit or miss' to me. TBM's vetting process seems more thorough, so you probably get fewer flakes. It's a bit less about just getting a bunch of quotes and more about quality matches, I think.

Thinking about getting a Vetted Pro subscription. Are there ever any discounts or sales on these, or is it pretty much full price all the time?

R Raj Hughes 1 month ago
They do sometimes have deals. I got 15% off my annual sub during a Black Friday thing last year. Keep an eye out around those times.

Yeah, I think I saw something about annual billing getting a discount, too, not just holiday sales. Worth checking their site or signing up for emails.

How do payments work if I hire someone through here? Like, do I pay The Builder Market directly or the contractor?

T Troy Okafor 1 month ago
You pay the contractor directly, not the platform. TBM just connects you.

The platform doesn't handle the money flow between you and the pro. They just get you hooked up, then it's between you two for payment. Make sure you get everything in writing with your contractor, of course!

Is this service actually legit? Like, the pros they list, are they really vetted or is it just a marketing thing?

J Josh Brooks 1 month ago
From my experience, yeah, they seem to do a pretty good job. I had a plumber come through them and he was really professional and had good references.

I used them for a kitchen remodel and the contractor was solid. They apparently check licenses and insurance, so it's not just anyone. Way better than just picking someone from a random ad.
